Do you love Massachusetts? Well your about to have a short historical museum of this state at your fingertips! Well, colony way back when....
Fact 1: Massachusetts was founded by John Winthrop in 1630 at Massachusetts Bay!
Fact 2: When it was a colony it's major industry was agriculture (farming, fishing, hunting, etc.), and manufacture (lumbering, making ships, etc.)
Fact 3: The colony was named after a tribe of Native Americans called the Massachusetts which means "Large Hill Place."
Fact 4: Maine was actually part of Massachusetts. Surprisingly, it was NOT it's own colony!
Fact 5: The major cities were Quincy, Boston, Salem, Lexington, Concord, and Plymouth.
Fact 6: In Salem, people believed that some people were possessed by the Devil (a witch) and were killed.
